Elastomeric Paint Services in San Francisco
Elastomeric paint can be the best choice for exterior masonry walls. They can be difficult to use but when applied correctly will create a paint film that will last for many years to come.
Elastomerics have higher volume solids (40-60%) than regular paints and are applied in thicker coats of about 10-20 mils per coat as compared to regular paints with a dry film thickness of 2-3 mils.
Because of their great ability to stretch (elongation of 200-400% without breaking throughout their service life), elastomeric paints can fill and keep bridged over hairline cracks. This characteristic alone makes them excellent water proofer for masonry.
Elastomerics coatings can be tinted to many different colors and when dry will look no different then conventional paints.
